Build a small AI application you can explain

Follow one interview-practice example from a simple Python loop to a model-feedback boundary, evidence checks and a reproducible evaluation. Learn what belongs in ordinary code, where AI can help, and how to recognize a result that should not be trusted.

What you receive

Six modules with 30 narrated, animated videos, including a welcome lesson. Approximately 55 minutes of video, plus self-paced coding and project exercises.
Matching lesson transcripts and an optional Python reading and practice guide.
Six ten-question module quizzes with answer explanations.
A Google Colab notebook with the teaching code, prepared failure examples, evaluation exercises and capstone guidance. No local Python installation required.
Worked approaches and self-review criteria for each module challenge.

Your learning path

01 Understand the learning loop before adding AI.

02 Build the ordinary Python application.

03 Add a model-feedback boundary and handle failure.

04 Check feedback against reviewed evidence.

05 Compare results with a reference-only baseline.

06 Package and explain your portfolio project.

Before you begin

Know basic Python functions, lists and dictionaries. Use a Google account, an internet connection and Google Colab in your browser; no local Python installation or terminal is required. No previous machine-learning experience is required. The optional bridge helps you review Python essentials.

Required exercises run in a hosted Colab CPU runtime using prepared examples, without paid model requests. Save a notebook copy in Google Drive and export your work before temporary runtime files are reset. Optional live feedback requires your own provider account and configuration, and may incur separate API charges. The supplied adapter is tested with a simulated transport; live quality, latency and costs are not presented as measured results. This is a Colab learning project, not a public application service or hiring assessment.

Access and support

One-time payment: $100 USD. Lifetime course access. No refunds. Learn at your own pace; no live coaching or instructor grading is included. For course-access help, contact support@kalacademy.com.
